The Journey of Mohammed Al-Balushi
A Talk with the distinguished singer Mohammed Al-Balushi, as he shares insights into his rich artistic journey.
On 18 November, the second day of the NCAAL’s 24th International Music Festival, the Recital Hall will host a talk titled “The Journey of Mohammed Al-Balushi”, celebrating this year’s honoured figure, the esteemed artist Mohammed Al-Balushi. During this event, the beloved artist will recount his remarkable career, which began in the early 1980s.
Mohammed Al-Balushi studied at the Higher Institute of Musical Arts, where he gained an academic foundation in Kuwaiti and Arab musical heritage. His professional career took off with the Television Folk Arts Troupe, where he immersed himself in authentic folk traditions and collaborated with prominent artists such as Ghannam Al-Deikan and Marzouq Al-Marzouq. His debut album, released in 1983, featured a collection of romantic songs, marking the successful beginning of his singing career. He later transitioned to composing, collaborating with renowned Kuwaiti and Khaleeji singers and producing a series of successful songs.
